A Theory on Mrs. Flood and Susan Twist
Spoilers for Season 14 ahead!
1. Susan Twist is the One Who Waits
For those who don't know, Susan Twist is an actress who has been playing multiple background characters for this season. Since The Church on Ruby Road, she has played a background character with a speaking role for each episode.
At first, this may seem like an easter egg included by Russel T Davies. However, in 73 Yards, when Susan Twist plays the old hiking lady, Ruby points out that she recognizes her.
What if this reappearing background character played by Susan Twist is actually the One Who Waits? Quite literally, they are waiting in the background of the episodes, biding their time before they finally make a full appearance.
Additionally, there is an extra bit of evidence that may at first seem too meta of a conclusion. However, with the way the show has veen exploring more meta concepts (the Maestro playing the theme song in Devil's Chord, and the theme song not showing up after The Doctor disappears in 73 yards), this might not be such a leap after all. As we know, the actress's name is Susan Twist. And what does The Doctor say at the end of The Devil's Chord, which itself becomes a full length song? He says "There's always a Twist at the end".
(Bonus I found while writing this theory: In the behind the scenes video for The Devil's Chord, Murray Gold mentions that "The song was always called There's always a twist at the end".
The fact that the song was always called this means that the title may be more important than just an artistic choice)
2. Mrs. Flood is the Oldest One.
In the Devil's Chord, the Maestro mentions the Oldest One, who was there on the day of Ruby's birth. At first, I believed that the Oldest One and The One Who Waits were the same. However, this wouldn't explain Mrs. Flood.
Mrs. Flood is certainly not a normal old woman. She is one of the only characters with the ability to break the fourth wall, and demonstrates knowledge of The Tardis, in a scene which suspiciously happens in the middle of the end credits, almost breaking the reality of the show.
I have heard the theory that she could be Older Ruby, yet we have seen old Ruby in 73 yards. Additionally, breaking the fourth wall is a reality warping power. It's a power we have only seen used by the Maestro, and The Doctor right before the Twist musical number (where reality breaks due to the remnants of Maestro's power lingering after their banishment)
Could it be that she is also a member of the Pantheon? If so, I believe that they are the Oldest One. The only major argument against this theory is that the Oldest One is stated to be a He, and Mrs. Flood is referred to as She, but Mrs. Flood can merely be another form or disguise for the Oldest One.
Ultimately, I believe it would be interesting if these two suspicious old ladies are the very extra-dimensional beings that we are warned about.
Thank you for listening to my wild theories! Reblog and comment your ideas, I'd love to know what you guys think about this. I hope you also see my next theory, which is coming out soon, on the identity of The Oldest One. See ya!

His lips move, his voice as soft as dead, dry leaves. “What’s that, love?” she says. “In the trees,” he says, his eyes still closed. “Is it John there in the trees? I think he’s waiting for me.” Viola turns her gaze out the window and to the closest tree, a resplendent cherry in the throes of autumn. John let him, and after a moment, rested his head against Sherlock’s chest. Sherlock felt the familiar ache, a longing for what might have been. If only he’d been braver, more sure of John’s feelings. He dropped his arms and stepped back. It was too late. Things were as they were meant to be. One should consider this challenge and distraction enough for capricious codebreaker Sherlock Holmes. But the true enigmas are yet waiting to be deciphered: an unbreakable code, a strange murder, and the arrival of Surgeon Captain John H. Watson of the Royal Navy.

Our Flag Means Death Season 2: Exclusive First Look
Vanity Fair joins Stede, Blackbeard, and the rest of the cast on set in New Zealand for an exclusive early look at the second season, debuting on Max in October.
BY SARAH CATHERALL (AUGUST 24, 2023)
Only the fans of Our Flag Means Death can determine whether they’ll be satisfied with the show’s second season, which debuts on Max in October. But if you ask Fernando Frias, who directed three of the season’s episodes, he sounds pretty confident: “If my life depended on saying whether it’s yes or no, I would say yes.’’
It’s December 8, 2022, and the principal actors on Our Flag Means Death as well as the 800-plus extras and crew members have three days left of their three-month shoot for season two. Things are starting to get emotional. “You’ve been the most amazing crew I’ve ever worked with,” says one actor as he wraps his final scene. Frias says it’s like leaving “a long summer camp,” adding, “it’s like a family.”

The series created by David Jenkins was a surprise breakout hit when it debuted in the spring of 2022, building a fiercely devoted fan base with its silly yet emotional deadpan, and defiantly queer take on the adventures of real 18th-century pirates. Everyone involved in Our Flag Means Death is eager to preserve the surprises in store for season two, which kicks off with gentleman pirate Stede Bonnet (Rhys Darby) and softhearted bad boy Blackbeard (Taika Waititi) ruefully separated after finally realizing their love for each other at the end of season one.
It’s “going to be unexpected and surprising, but also very pleasurable and satisfying for those who like the show,” promises executive producer Garrett Basch. It “doesn’t follow the expected route,” teases Con O’Neill, who plays Blackbeard’s devoted enforcer, Izzy. All that means is we’re not at liberty to share too much about what happened on set that day, which included emotional conversations, new cast members, banter with the Kiwi crew, and some seriously killer costumes.
But these exclusive new images give a hint of what is in store. There are fresh faces—Minnie Driver will guest-star as the real-life Irish pirate Anne Bonny, and Ruibo Qian joins the cast as the mysterious merchant Susan—and a lot of New Zealand actors and locations, now that the production has decamped across the Pacific.
“The viewers will see the scope of their world has expanded based on the fact we’re able to get to these amazing locations within a short travel time,” says executive producer Antoine Douaihy. “You will notice a marked difference between the two seasons in terms of the scope and the scale.’’

There will be plenty of familiar faces too, of course. On set that day in Kumeu, New Zealand, a rural area about 20 miles outside of Auckland, are Waititi and Darby along their fellow returning cast members O’Neill, Vico Ortiz (Jim), Kristian Nairn (Wee John), Joel Fry (Frenchie), Matthew Maher (Black Pete), Leslie Jones (Spanish Jackie), Samson Kayo (Oluwande), Ewen Bremner (Nathaniel Buttons), Samba Schutte (Roach), and more. New onboard are two Kiwi actors, Madeleine Sami (most recently of the Australian mystery-comedy Deadloch), and Samoan-born Anapela Polataivao. And there’s one returning figure impossible to miss on the soundstage: The Revenge, the stately ship that Blackbeard—a.k.a. Ed—commandeered at the end of season one. In real life it was carefully transported across the Pacific Ocean from the show’s original Los Angeles soundstages.
The Revenge is vast and impressive, much larger in real life than it appears onscreen. But it’s not the only stunning scenery in store. There are around 50 sets involved in the production of season two, including the 30-acre forest behind the Kumeu Film Studio, Piha Beach, and the wild, black-sand Bethells Beach.
Waititi, who also executive produces the series, was part of the push to film season two in his native New Zealand. “Taika is an extraordinary talent and what’s really great about him with his international success is he’s remained very committed to New Zealand and very loyal to our industry,” says Annie Murray, the CEO of the New Zealand Film Commission. “The beauty of filming in New Zealand is that you can find incredible varied locations within a very short driving distance. [And] when you get to those locations you can turn your camera in any direction.’’

The scope of the season is very evident back on set, as well. There’s a whole other pirate ship in addition to The Revenge, plus sets for a floating market, Stede’s cabin (empty when we visit), and the Republic of Pirates first glimpsed in season one. Behind the scenes it’s a maze of wardrobe, wig rooms, and dressing rooms. In another facility, props are stacked on shelves, ready to be taken away to storage as soon as filming wraps—vases, plates, antique furniture, and piles of mannequins replicating dead bodies which were used in one of the battle scenes.
Costume designer Gypsy Taylor joined the production this season and has designed hundreds of costumes, checking with everyone on set that day to make sure everything is in place before cameras roll. Taylor says each of the principals have six to eight looks in this season, and that every item—every leather belt, wig, bit of jewelry, even a mermaid tail—has been made by her 60-strong workshop. The costumes this season have a “Mad Max, ‘streets of New York’ feel,” says Taylor. “David Jenkins was keen to give the series a cool rock-and-roll vibe…so we had these rock-and-roll elements with an 18th-century twist.’’ As is evidenced in the image below, even Stede’s crew winds up with some unexpected new looks over the course of the season.
Wherever it is these Revenge crew members have found themselves, there’s something that surprised them. COURTESY OF NICOLA DOVE/MAX.
Two armies are part of the action in season two, all of them needing elaborate costumes—around 150 Chinese pirates and a fleet of 100 navy officers. Even the breeches are in studded black leather, and punkified. Says Taylor, “The theory behind their costumes is they would’ve stolen from other pirates…. Although our Wee John has started to become quite the seamstress, so he’s knitting this season.’’ True enough: Nairn is wearing what looks like a hand-knit sweater on set that day.
Wee John isn’t the only pirate getting into crafts. Nancy Hennah, who has managed the hair and makeup for both seasons, points to Blackbeard’s wig—made in London—and tattoos as Waititi works on set. With 14 tattoos on his right arm and 10 on the left, plus plenty of scars, he needs at least an hour in the makeup chair. “Taika wanted most of the tattoos to look like he’d done them himself,” Hennah says. “Like on slow days on the boat when there’s nothing much to do, they sit around and give each other tattoos.”
She gives a hint of a storm in one episode: “One of the hardest days here in makeup was when they were caught in a storm on the back of the boat. [The cast] were saturated for a whole day, which caused havoc with things like tattoos and hair, wigs and beards.’’
Taika Waititi as Blackbeard, who begins the season with a broken heart. COURTESY OF NICOLA DOVE/MAX.
By mid afternoon, Con O’Neill is taking a break in his trailer. He pulls his slim, leather trousered legs up to a corner seat. A candle blazes on the kitchen bench as the veteran actor talks about the physical endurance required during the shoot. “It’s been frantic,’’ he says. His signature gray hair barely moves, frozen by the team of hair stylists who arrived on set around sunrise. (All interviews with actors in this story took place before the SAG-AFTRA strike).
Izzy “goes on a remarkable journey” this season, says O’Neill. “He understands what love is and whom he’s in love with.’’ On a series featuring a variety of joyful queer relationships—not just Stede and Blackbeard, but Black Pete and Lucius (Nathan Foad), Jim and Oluwande, and Spanish Jackie and her many husbands—Izzy’s unyieldingly straitlaced devotion makes him an odd man out. By the end of season one many fans speculated that Izzy was driven by something at the intersection of love and obsession. This season, according to O’Neill, Izzy gets even deeper into that dynamic. “Physically it’s been quite demanding, and also emotionally it’s been quite demanding to be playing a man enraged by unrequited love, who’s basically a hopeless romantic, and to be able to play all that and also remember that this is fundamentally a comedy.’’
Though the show is often warm and fuzzy when it comes to feelings—one of Stede’s mottos in season one is that when faced with challenges, “we talk it through as a crew”—Izzy represents the darker, more violent side of pirate life, which the show doesn’t shy away from either. “What I love about this show is it does allow itself to swing between the two,” O’Neill says. “We’re almost operatic in our darkness at times, and then we swing back to the sweetness of the simplicity of the love of our two guys. It’s been challenging just to get the tone right.”
“We’ve gone further this season than we did last season with those tones,” he continues. “So sometimes it’s quite interesting to remind yourself that you have to take your foot out of the tragedy—literally, your foot—and put it back into the comedy.”
With a season behind them to build the dynamics between the characters and the actors alike, on set there’s been “a lot more spontaneity and script revisions based on what’s happening day-to-day,” says Douaihy. “The cast are so comfortable with one another and their characters, that they move through it naturally.’’
Leslie Jones as Spanish Jackie and Taika Waititi as Ed a.k.a. Blackbeard. COURTESY OF NICOLA DOVE/MAX.
The way O’Neill puts it, they’ve also built trust with Jenkins, their showrunner, to follow some bigger swings. “I don’t think David Jenkins is ever going to follow an expected route. I’d hate to drive in a car with him.” Thinking of the fans who will greet the series when the show returns in October, O’Neill continues, “I think they’re going to appreciate what [Jenkins] wants. Season two does stick to the original premise that we created in season one, which is take it on to other levels.’’
One character leveling up in a major way this season is Jim, the quiet badass (there are knives involved) played by the nonbinary actor and activist Vico Ortiz. “Jim really evolves in season two,” they say. “They’re a bit more chatty and a bit more conversational…. Most of the first season you see Jim in disguise, hiding, but in this one you see them a bit more [thinking,] Oh, this is my chosen family, and I feel good. There’s a bit more zaniness and a bit more softness.’’
Like O’Neill and several other castmates, Oritz had attended their share of fan events by the time season two began filming, and the entire cast and crew returned to the high seas with a strong sense that their show had taken on a life of its own. “It’s so beautiful to see that people are finding community within the fan base. It’s about creating spaces where we feel safe and seen, and it’s so great to see that so many people watch the show and feel validated in their experiences, whatever that may be,” says Ortiz. “A lot of people that watch the show are like, “Yeah, I’m a guy and it’s good to see all these dudes being vulnerable.’ We can just shake up [ideas about gender].’’
Ruibo Qian joins the cast this season as Susan, a merchant with secrets of her own. COURTESY OF NICOLA DOVE/MAX.
Basch admits the fan following surprised some of the team, “but it made a lot of sense” too. After years of television shows and movies that built up the potential of queer romance only to stop short, Basch thinks the fervor for Our Flag Means Death “says that shows in the mainstream aren’t delivering that promise or that setup, and we have. That’s really why the fans have gone wild for it.”
That promise, it’s safe to say, is kept in season two, and then some. On set that day in December, for example, there was a major romantic moment between two key characters. But we’d risk Ed Teach’s wrath if we told you any more.

I love Snivel and Susan in season 2, and honestly how the whole nightmare realm villain dynamic changes.
The Nightmare King is gone, Night Hunter has taken over, and he... straight up just goes into a slump and does nothing. No one's there to light a fire under him, and he just sits about and mopes.
Snivel and Susan are obviously bored. They want to go out and pick on dreamers. So they're pestering the Night Hunter. But they're also... like I think they're trying to get him off his arse, get him outside and get him doing something that they've seen him enjoy. They encourage him to get out and pick on dreamers, and particularly Zoey. They're actually trying to encourage him to get out and do something.
And of course, there's the scene where he walks in on them blasting heck out of a cardboard cutout of Zoey, he finally cracks, and tells them she's his daughter. Neither of them laughs at him or makes fun. Whilst its news to them, they also don't seem overly surprised. They're reaction is pretty much 'huh... that tracks'.
They might not be super good at it, but they’re being supportive of Night Hunter, and that's oddly sweet.

Empire of Death opinions and takes
(Sorry if you disagree I’m not here to argue)
1. I didn’t like how the episodes were split up, the characters turning into dust should’ve been the end of episode one instead of the beginning of episode two. I didn’t feel any emotional build up to the characters “deaths” because I knew it would be fixed very very soon. I think we would’ve felt it more if there was more build up to it and we had more time to stew on it.
I also think that the spoon thing would’ve worked better as an opener, but they probably would’ve had to split it into three episodes for that to make sense
2. I really love that Sutekh was there since the 70s and not since the salt line like we all assumed
3. 🗣️ ‼️🔥🗣️SHOUTOUT OODS SHPERE 🗣️🔥‼️🗣️
4. Melanie. Was. Annoying as fuck. in this episode. I love Bonnie Langford and think she did great with the material she was given. I usually love Mel, but she didn’t do anything in this episode other than kinda stand on the sidelines and point out the obvious. It was extremely clear that she was only there to be a vessel for Sutekh because otherwise she had no reason to be in any of those scenes
5. Ruby dropping the computer REALLYYY GOT ME that scene had me at the edge of my seat, I loved it.
6. Loved the outfits but was a bit confused by them. Why? Is? 15 dressed like a PE teacher??
7. UNIT Spinoff??
8. I really really love that Ruby’s mother is completely ordinary…. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE SNOW THEY NEVER PROPERLY EXPLAINED THE SNOW the reunion had me crying though
I get why she said it I do really get what she meant but I didn’t like how she referred to her bio mom as her “Real Mom” like Carla’s your real mom too
9. Ruby and her birth mom reuniting is going to eventually mirror Doc reuniting with Susan, why would they talk about her so much if she’s not eventually coming back, next season or the one after
10. Let’s loop back around to UNIT, cause I have things to say about Morris. The actor who plays him does a great job, but again I feel like the writers didn’t know what to do with him in. I do hope they’ll actually give him some shit to do in the potential UNIT spin off. Also does UNIT follow labor laws???? Isn’t he just 13???
11.
“Clever Boy”
Ms. Flood has Somthing to do with Clara??? WHOS MRS FLOOD????

Doctor Who Thoughts So Far
Still missing those setup TARDIS scenes....(when the first time The Doctor and Companion has a scene together in the TARDIS since the 2-episode premiere is in a book that released an entire month later...)
I've liked the episodes okay individually, but as a cohesive season, it just feels mismashed together. There's no setup for where they're trying to go or why they go somewhere, it's just straight to the plot "They're here now, go with it". It feels like every scene has to have neatly cut of so it can fit onto social media
E3 - Did The Doctor want to take Ruby to her first alien planet
E4 - Why were The Doctor and Ruby blocked from actually getting in FineTime but was able to somehow get on the screens
E5 - Did they mean to go to Wales or not?
E6 - Did Ruby ask to go to this time period,
E7 - What caused The Doctor to decide to get UNIT's help for this reappering woman?
The episodes feel like a unconnected anthology series with The Doctor and Ruby plopped into them.
Even E7, felt more like an episode of a UNIT set spin-off with The Doctor and Ruby guest starring. Like even though I haven't listened to them yet (but plan to), it feels like with some tweaks it would fit into Big Finish's UNIT series (which seem to have a constant them of having a Kate led UNIT face off against returning villains from the Classic and New series)
Almost makes me wonder if Russell (having some contributions to Big Finish) did pitch it as an idea for Big Finish and wasn't what they were looking for at the time...and just decided to make it himself instead.
For E7 specifically, I feel all that was needed was a diffferent cold open. Instead of The Doctor just randomly coming into UNIT, have the cold open of "adventures we haven't seen" montage with different versions of Susan, then have The Doctor and Ruby in the TARDIS and have The Doctor decided he needs to get help to figure out who she is...then cue title sequence.
The development between The Doctor and Ruby is completely off-screen. It feels like Russell wanted to skip ahead to the companion's second year. Imagine if Tennant was the first NewWho Doctor, and him and Rose went immidetely from "End of the World" to their S2 dynamic..

I absolutely adore Susan’s characterisation. I’m so thankful that episode six gave her that added context to her character because so many of her actions make so much more sense in this light. In particular her drive to survive which we really see in action in episode 10. Girls Can’t Drive firmly establishes that Susan will do what it takes to remain on top and whilst the past couple episodes have shown her lose her status as leader of the Socs (i.e. the slut shaming. she’s so Sabrina Carpenter ‘All Because I Liked A Boy’-coded), her beating Jane in the race allows her to claw back her position at the top of the Socs.
I never thought Susan would become a Pink Lady this season (even if this would have been pretty cool) but this beautifully sets her up to continue to be somewhat of an antagonist/begrudging ally for the Pink Ladies in a potential second season. Despite her desire to break free of what her mother wants for her, she’s still a product of her time and so will most likely conform to these standards. But I love her all the same. I love mean teenage girls in media <3
Buddy’s character in the last episode was…interesting to say the least. I have absolutely no idea what they might have planned for his character considering he’s now dropped out of Rydell and he’s been kicked out of his home but I have seen some suggestions that they’re setting him up in some relation to the Tbirds rival gang? Definitely would be an interesting plot to pursue and I would love to see a proper villain/antagonist arc for him. Like Susan, he’s incredibly flawed but it’s so satisfying to see them both more fleshed out than their usual character archetype. What I will say is the Hazel/Buddy is driving me mad. I want to like him so badly, but he makes it so difficult. His sudden realisation that he might like Hazel, and his subsequent treatment of her is very reminiscent to his treatment of Jane considering he doesn’t seem to realise how what’s right for him, doesn’t necessarily equate into being the right thing to do for others. The thing that mostly bugs me is his lack of regard for Wally? He admits that if he wasn’t going away, he wouldn’t admit his feelings to Hazel because Wally is his friend, but even in doing this he’s still throwing a grenade at Hazel and Wally’s relationship. It’s such a selfish move to burden her with this knowledge when he won’t be there for the fallout of it. I do love that he continues to be flawed though.
I’m also curious about the future of Wally and and Hazel as well. I’m team Wazel all the way, but now that she’s a Pink Lady, how is their relationship going to work? It will be an interesting dynamic definitely and I’m wondering if this is where the Pink Lady/ Tbirds dating rule will come into play? Not sure who she would even date though because both Potato/Nancy and Gil/Olivia seem pretty established now (even if they’re not official), Richie’s fate is unknown (and likewise seems established as Jane/Richie) and I’m firmly of the belief that Shy Guy/Edward is mlm. But that scene in Think Pink, where Hazel smashes the pie into Neil’s face seems to take Wally aback, and I think that sets them up for some conflict in season 2. Please I’m begging though season 2 don’t take Wazel away from me.

Sharing my thoughts on the last 2 episodes of Hazbin Hotel season 1
Charlie's going through a hard time after failing to convince the people in heaven about demons getting redeemed and the exorcists going after her hotel. I can't blame her at all for expressing how upset she is that Vaggie didn't tell her that she's an angel.
Charlie sealing the deal with Alastor got me apprehensive. Hell, even Razzle and Dazzle were against it, judging by their facial expressions, but Alastor didn't want her soul. Instead, he gave her some information which is about Carmilla successfully killing an exorcist.
Carmilla is a no-nonsense mentor to Vaggie, though I find it frustrating that the latter was too dense to realize that the weapon she's wielding is one of the things that can defeat the exorcists. Speaking of Carmilla, we got to see the flashback on how she successfully killed one. It's a rare item called the angelic steel that was implanted in her ballet shoes.
The Latin-EDM number about fighting for love was a fucking bop and Vaggie getting her wings back got me clapping delightfully for her.
One hilarious moment was when Charlie yelled at Susan, "FUCK YOU, YOU OLD BITCH!!!" which was an absolute mood for everyone who has dealt with hecklers, trolls, Karens, and Kevins in their lives.
Rosie is such an endearing and loving character who is empathetic and understanding. Charlie vented to her about who Vaggie is and Rosie deduced that everyone has a past that they're not proud of and they rather not reveal it due to fear of rejection. She reassured her that Vaggie loves her regardless of who she is since the hotel is all about redemption. As Rosie said, "Words are cheap but actions speak the truth".
Eventually, Charlie got to convince everyone in Cannibal Town to fight against the exorcists through the song, "Ready For This". She and Vaggie got to talk things through and the characters in the hotel stayed to help defend it by fortifying it in preparation for the battle.
If I may add, Sir Pentious petting Keekee was a really cute scene to watch.
The season 1 finale was an epic rollercoaster. It was great to finally see the first on-screen kiss between Charlie and Vaggie after singing the reprise of "More Than Anything".
The fight between Vaggie and Lute got me on the edge of my seat. After Lute stabbed Vaggie's right hand, Vaggie got the upper hand by crushing Lute under some rubble. Instead of killing her, she spared her life, proving that Vaggie is a better person and isn't going out of her way to kill someone. Being crushed under some rubble caused Lute to rip out her left arm which was painful to watch but it's honestly her well-deserved karma for slashing Vaggie's eye out (and for killing Dazzle).
Seeing Angel Dust caring about others, like the scene where he's protective of one of the Egg Boiz, was wholesome to watch. I loved how much he has progressed throughout the season.
Alastor is one badass deer boy who faced off against Adam. He's got the moves and sass, but due to his microphone not being an angelic weapon, he was defeated by Adam.
Sir Pentious finally confessed his feelings for Cherri Bomb as they shared a kiss and made the sacrifice to protect his friends and the hotel. As he and the Egg Boiz are about to shoot the laser at Adam, Adam killed them with just a large bolt of holy light.
This caused Charlie to unleash her demon form and go one-on-one with Adam. Seeing Adam acting all arrogant, pretentious, conceited, and misogynistic got me pissed off but I cheered when Charlie stabbed him with a trident. Though Adam still got the upper hand until Lucifer arrived and delivered a powerful blow on his face. It was revealed that Adam had a face and was actually wearing a mask.
Lucifer shapeshifting and roasting the shit out of Adam and his incompatibility with Lilith and Eve shows how much of a goofy goober he really is. During their faceoff, Adam fired a huge beam that completely destroyed the hotel. He was about to deliver one final strike, but Charlie and Lucifer countered it and threw him hard onto the ground.
Lucifer punched Adam many times until Charlie told him to spare him. Adam gets back up and rants angrily to the characters, showing off his pride and god complex once more. All of a sudden, he got stabbed in the back by none other than Niffty. Charlie told her earlier to kill an angel when she sees one and Niffty did her assignment excellently. She stabbed Adam many times which was hilarious to see and Valentino's shocked expression makes him realize how lucky he is that he dodged a bullet in the nightclub. Because Adam is dead, the extermination has been cancelled, as reported by Katie Killjoy.
I was worried that the destruction of the hotel caused Keekee and Fat Nuggets to die, but I was so relieved that they're both alright.
Lute and the surviving exorcists retreat back to heaven and Charlie and the gang helped each other rebuild the hotel while singing the reprise of "Happy Day In Hell". They also have a portrait of Sir Pentious and a statue of Dazzle in commemoration of their heroic sacrifice. I give no fucks about the Vees celebrating since they're only there to watch the whole shit go down. Alastor went through anxiety and frustration and expressed his desperation to find a way to get out of the deal and I find it bizarre that he went back to the hotel to see the residents. Lucifer and Husk are suspicious of him, judging by their facial expressions.
Unbeknownst to Charlie and the gang, Sir Pentious got transported into heaven as a winner angel, leaving Emily thrilled and Sera shocked to see him. They saw proof that a sinner can be redeemed, though the Egg Boiz were nowhere to be found.
The finale ended with a cliffhanger. Someone is relaxing on a beach until Lute appeared with Adam's halo and said the deal is over. She told her if she wants to stay in heaven, she needs to confront Charlie. That someone is revealed to be Lilith, Charlie's mother.
I don't know if she will be the main antagonist of season 2, but I have my eye on Lilith as she's one mysterious character who disappeared for 7 years which is the same amount of time Alastor disappeared. Lute and the Vees are also contenders for being the main antagonists of the next season. Viv said that "season 2 focuses on a very fun villain and it's a villain that we meet in season 1", but we'll have to wait and see who it's going to be.
I had a lot of fun watching the last 2 episodes. It was totally worth the wait after watching the pilot episode back in September 2022. I do understand that there's criticism on how fast the pacing of the show is due to only having 8 episodes in season 1. I also understand that it would've been better if it has 20 episodes as it would give more time for character development and exploration of what the pride ring has to offer.
Personally, I was bummed that Angel Dust isn't the one going to heaven. I want to see him break free from Valentino once and for all and reunite with Molly up in heaven. If Niffty successfully killed Adam, I want her to kill Valentino and add him to her collection. Maybe that could happen in season 2, but who knows. Anything can happen.

FINAL PART of my ofmd season 2 teaser analysis!
The last thing I want to talk about before I get into my predictions for the order of events is the constant "Ed wants to murder Stede" imagery and dialogue. We get Olu asking Stede "Do you think Blackbeard's gonna murder you?" And several other hints, like the knife throwing shot
And this shot, where it's clearly meant to represent Ed pointing a gun at Stede (near his heart?)
And then we get this shot of Ed holding the groom cake topper and saying "Fuck you, Stede Bonnet."
So clearly, there's some serious tension on Ed's side. I don't think their reunion is going to go very smoothly, at least at first. But I don't think it'll go bad in the end, as it's super clear Ed still loves Stede. Like, a lot. He's just mad at him for breaking his heart.
And, I'll add, while we are getting all of these hostile vibes from Ed, on Stede's end, there's NOTHING but love. He says he loves being near Ed, breathing the same air as him, he's always thinking about him (okay poet go off). Stede is so smitten and it's so heartbreaking and adorable at the same time.
Okay! On to my very loose prediction for a possible order of events, simply based on this trailer and the images Vanity Fair released.
So we will likely open with Olu looking through his telescope, spotting Stede approaching. They all reunite, and Stede asks where Ed and everyone else is. They explain what Ed did, and then Stede decides that they're all getting off the island and finding the Revenge. I'm guessing they all row away in stedes little boat (is it big enough for all of them?). They go to the nearest land mass, and end up on an island. I'm thinking this is the place where this picture is from.
And we get the scene of Stede grabbing the Wanted poster, telling his crew that Ed isn't a bad guy, etc. I'm guessing it's here that Stede asks around for information on Blackbeards' whereabouts. Maybe Stede doesn't find anything out, so he assumes Ed could be sailing to China, like they discussed on the beach. So they're off to China. But before that, there's a scene of Stede throwing his message in a bottle into the ocean. Also, my guess is that he wrote the note on the back of the wanted poster. Maybe he crossed some things off on the other side, like crossed out all the bad stuff and rewrote good stuff. All sappy-like.
Then, I'm guessing still in the first episode, maybe the beginning of the second, we see our first scene of Ed's crew. It starts with the wedding scene, and then we cut to Ed saying "objection" and the chaos ensues. Ed grabs the cake toppers and then later on we have the scene of Ed placing his painted bride topper next to the Stede one. Also maybe when he says to the stede topper "fuck you Stede Bonnet," he'll throw it overboard? That would be another symbolism of "Ed is gonna try and kill Stede, or at least he feels like he wants to in the moment." We can get a nice ominous shot of the topper sinking into the murky ocean.
So Stede's group is on their way to China, and stop at the floating market maybe? And maybe thats where they meet Anne Bonny. Not sure how that will go down. But later on they arrive at China, somewhere along the way meet Susan, and we get the scene of Olu asking Stede if Blackbeard will murder him, and also we'll get Stede's crew in their Chinese outfits. Also probably the scene with Buttons and the Chinese pirates.
What I'm wondering about this image in particular is what are they so surprised/happy about? They are probably seeing a familiar face(s). If it's the crew of Ed's Revenge, this could be where they all find each other again (without Ed, because he's on a beach somewhere). Or maybe it's just Lucius somehow?
So at some point in the middle of all this we might cut to the knife throwing scene with Ed and Izzy, and then maybe after the big storm will hit. That will throw Ed overboard, and the Revenge will be left without a captain once more. Izzy will be very concerned and determined to find Edward, but maybe he will unwittingly lead the crew back to Stede's group in the process?
Okay so once everyone is reunited, Izzy isn't on great terms with Stede, but he could use his help finding Ed, so they form an alliance. Stede gets his ship back, and they are on their way to find Ed. Along the way, we see the "I did a punch!" scene, I'm guessing that happens because the Revenge stormed another vessel? And Izzy agrees to train Stede, hence the sword scene with the candles. Maybe they're training for an upcoming battle? The Vanity Fair article did mention that two armies would be present during the season, one side being Chinese pirates and the other side being navy officers.
And of course we will get scenes of Ed on the beach, having to fend for himself. His makeup will be gone and his beard will have grown a bit longer, which is how we know a bit of time has passed. I wonder if Ed's time on the island will be good or bad for him. Maybe the isolation and time to think, and cool off, will allow him to warm back up to Stede? This could lead to him finding the message in a bottle, too. It would be a pretty funny coincidence.
So I'm thinking that Stede and Ed reuniting happens after a few episodes, maybe episode 4? It would parallel the first season, as Ed didn't show up until episode 3/4. And there's some animosity at first, but they still love each other, so they make up again. Hopefully with that "major romantic moment" Vanity Fair mentioned! And then there will be a build up to the final battle.
And then there's this image, where Ed is wearing Buttons' jacket and sitting next to Spanish Jackie, who looks to be dressed up.
This seems like a potentially sweet scene. Ed has no makeup, his beard is longer (like this photo)
So its obviously later in the season, and he appears to be staring at something/someone lovingly. I'm guessing he's looking at Stede, and this is near the end of the season where everything has calmed down and the whole crew is having fun. Maybe they're finally doing their talent show?
Then of course we have the "Izzy loves Edward" plot line that will surely tug at our heartstrings. I'm looking forward to seeing how that plays out!
Ok, so that's all I've got at the moment. Feel free to tell me your thoughts/predictions in the comments! Here's hoping we get a full length trailer before October so I can analyze some more!

SPOILERS/PROMO PICTURES
The promo pictures have been released and I WANNA SCREAM!! 🗣
Okay, so I won't post them all, only the girls and the boys so if you wanna see pictures of the socs here's the link.
Sooo, let's start with that one:
Look at all my babies 🥺 and I need to say that Gil is very hot in that outfit (those arms 🫠🤐) Okay, let's move on. I have no idea of who is gonna have the idea of the race but I'm excited. I love how the boys keep supporting the girls. They love them so much. If they all started to hang out together it was because of Olivia and Richie. Olivia found real friends and Richie had a crush on Jane. Oh, and Cynthia's friendship too. And now look at them. It's clear that Olivia and Richie are not there and the boys are still with the girls, supporting them. They all created a bond and a real friendship and it makes me so emotional 😭
2.
I'm not surprised here. I always knew that the race was gonna be Jane vs Susan and now that we know that Jane has Richie's jacket, I'll stick with my theory that she will wear it for the race, just like Susan is gonna wear Buddy's.
3.
I'm pretty sure that Olivia is gonna imagine her future life with that creep. I expect a deep conversation with her mom, because I really feel like her mom is not okay with that wedding.
4.
That's probably from Olivia's vision. I have nothing to add here.
5.
Okay, that's the picture that I'm the most excited about. First of all, it's definitely the day after the race. For the race, Hazel was with the socs and now she's with the girls. So something happened. Then look behind them: IT IS A CHURCH!! So yes, I think that the girls and the boys are going to stop that wedding. Maybe Hazel is gonna discover something about Mr creep and warn the girls and the boys. I want Gil to give a big speech to Olivia too 😭 My boy deserves to finally be able to tell her how he really feels about her. I also want a Jane and Gil scene where they talk about Olivia and Richie in the episode. I won't let go of that friendship.
6.
Yep, Olivia is wearing a wedding dress. So she will definitely leave that creep at the altar. And I already noticed her dress in a teaser but I refused to believe that that wedding would happen 🤡
7.
We already saw this moment and I have no idea of what is happening. I don't think that Hazel will join the Pink Ladies. I feel like they are focusing only on the four girls as Pink Ladies for that first season. They'll probably have new members in S2 though, I don't know.
Okay, that's all I got for now. Maybe I'll post other theories later. Let me know what you think 😊

SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 10 OF GREASE: RISE OF THE PINK LADIES
I have big feelings again, I'm sorry.
Just like last time, this is in no particular order, my brain is scrambled.
Here we go:
The scene between Nancy and Cynthia was everything. They're my favourite friendship on the whole show. I kinda wish they showed us what they wrote, but you know what? It's their secret, and will remain that way, as it should.
On the same note: HAPPY LESBIANS!!!! YAAAAAAAAAY! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank all the gods of all the realms that Olivia didn't marry that pedo bitch. She just needed to know that her friends are on her side, no matter what 🥺
Nancy slapping him was also so satifying. Such an icon, Nancy is.
Olivia's mom saying "we shouldn't have said yes" was soooo annoying. Like, yeah, no shit. But if you realise that, then at least do something? For example, I don't know, don't let your teenage daughter marry her teacher instead of just crying and waiting for a bunch of teenage girls to show up and do your job???
But at least Olivia's free.
But Gil has a girlfriend 😭 Who the hell is she?
The begining of the race was so funny. Like they were building up for something incredible and then Susan just fucks up immediatelly. Love it, peak humour.
Oh, yeah, Hazel! I was waiting her to be inculded in the gang forever. And now she has her own group of friends 🥺
And her climbing in Jane's window was so cute and awkward. I love their dynamic
I just kinda wish they would've resolved her love triangle too...
But we can't have everything resolved, something needs to happen in season 2
(They're doing season 2, right? RIGHT???)
Nancy and Potato are back together and cuter than ever 🥰 I don't have to riot. Yay!
Rizzo and Frenchy 🥺 also it was so funny that they almost had me believe they're letting them into the gang now
I'm really sad we barely saw anything of Edward this episode. I was hoping they would develop his friendship with Cynthia but I understand that there's only so much thing they can do in 50 minutes 😔
Buddy turning himself in and standing up for himself! My boy seems so lost in tge world but at least he's trying to do the right thing now. I hope he's getting some happiness next season
(THEY'RE DOING A SECOND SEASON, RIGHT??????)
The last song was such great finale. 😚👌 (that's supposed to be a chef's kiss)
But WTF WAS THAT ENDING? Who? Why? Where? How?
I'm gonna cry so bad if they don't make another season 🥺
But even if they do, what do I do with myself until it's out?

The mystery of Red’s connection to Elizabeth Keen was solvable in Season 4. The key episodes are Mato, Adrian Shaw Conclusion, and Requiem.
The Blacklist first look: Mr. Kaplan's ties to Red revealed — first look
Source: Entertainment Weekly, Natalie Abrams
“In the episode titled ‘Requiem,’ we get to step back in time and see Reddington through the lens of what is essentially an origin story,” executive producer Jon Bokenkamp tells EW. “It’s a really compelling hour that involves Young Liz, her mother Katerina, her adopted father Sam Milan and, of course, Mr. Kaplan. In this photo, we see Mr. Kaplan putting on her ‘cleaner gloves’ for the very first time.”
The Blacklist unveils a shocking amount of backstory
Source: Entertainment Weekly, Natalie Abrams
"It turns out, Kaplan was more than just a cleaner for Red, but once acted as the caretaker for a young Masha, a.k.a. Liz Keen (Megan Boone), working for Katarina Rostova (Lotte Verbeek) and eventually uncovered that she's a Russian spy and becoming her cleaner."
In 4.02 we learned for the first time that Mr. Kaplan’s history with Red went as far back as to when Liz was just an infant. This was the episode where Red shoots Kate for betraying him. During the episode and before he shoots her which she knows is coming… Mr. Kaplan explains to Red that she only betrayed him because of an agreement they had made back when Liz was a baby for which Red insisted she always put Liz first. She mentions an incident that happened with “Annie” way back when. At one point Red tells Kate that he “was away”. All of this backstory dialogue was pretty vague and didn’t give too much insight. But in the episode Requiem, all of this is explained. We get to see Baby Liz in Kaplan’s arms. We see the promises made to keep Liz safe. We saw the incident with Annie and Kate. We learned how Mr. Kaplan got her name. We saw Katarina call Kate from Cape May to tell her she was going "away". Etc...
In short, the episode of Requiem will MOSTLY feature Katarina and Mr. Kaplan. The younger Mr. Kaplan is played by Joanna Adler. Susan Blommarert of course plays the Mr. Kaplan we all know.
Susan Blommaert
And just like the episode of Nachalo, the story in Requiem is ABOUT RED in the flashbacks but who we see onscreen is Katarina played by Lotte Verbeek. This is because Red was formerly Katarina Rostova who took on the identity of Raymond Reddington.
The lines:
4x02 - Mr. Kaplan: Do you remember what I looked like that night? Lying in the street, my head torn open… Annie’s body in front of me. Red: You know I don’t know what you looked like. I was away.
The explanation: 1. The episode Requiem will introduce the story of Annie and how Kate met her. The episode will feature the very scene that Kate referred to. We see her lying in the street, head torn open… Annie’s body in front of her. Bonus: We finally learn how Kate got her name “Mr. Kaplan”. We are also shown the tragic scene of both Annie and Kate being shot. Annie dies. 2. Red’s line about him being away is explained by the scene where Katarina calls Kate at the motel from Cape May and tells her she is “going away”.
4x02 - Kate: Do you remember…? Red: You know I don’t know what you liked like….
When Kate said: Do you remember…? Red’s response wasn’t that he did not know her back then. Instead, he told her he was away. They knew each other. Also, there is no reason for Kate to ask Red in the first place if he remembers anything unless she knew Red during this time frame. What is important here is that the event of Annie and Kate getting shot at Little Nikkos happened BEFORE Red approached Mr. Kaplan to work for him. And yet: Kate to Red: Work for you? I don't know you. She thought he was the real RR. But anyway, the part where Red said he was away is explained by the phone call from Katarina to Kate from Cape May. She tells Kate she's going away.
4.17 Mr. Kaplan: Work for you? I don’t know you.
Red: I’m not as unknown as you might like to believe, Ms. Nemec.
Kate believes that Red is the real Raymond Reddington. That is who he is presenting himself as after all. The explanation for Red’s line that he’s not as unknown as she might like to believe means that Kate does not yet know that Red is Katarina disguised. Red is known to her. Afterall he did put Baby Liz in her arms 10 years prior.
4x02 - Kate: I’m not sorry for what I did. I betrayed you for the same reason I just betrayed Nikos– to keep Elizabeth safe, just like you asked me to all those years ago, when you first put her in my arms as a baby girl, only now she has a baby girl of her own, and your existence in their lives puts them in constant danger.
- to keep Elizabeth safe, just like you asked me to all those years ago, Requiem explains this line in the scene where Mr. Kaplan is in the nursery with the baby and Katarina walks in. 1. Note: that the song Kate is singing has the lines: You are safe, you are loved. You are wise. I think this was an intentional little nugget by the writers. 2. The scene ends with Kate telling Katarina that she would do anything to protect her baby. Kathryn: I told you. I have a pact with your daughter. I will do everything in my power to keep her safe. And her mother.
- “And her mother”: aka Red.
- when you first put her in my arms as a baby girl, This line is explained by the same scene when Mr. Kaplan is in the nursery. Though we do not see Katarina handing the baby to Mr. Kaplan's arms and asking her to keep her safe, (that would be TOO obvious). Perhaps the show decided to do the reverse as a clever clue to cover the handling of the baby. That said, in the scene, they do show Baby Liz in Kaplan’s arms. In the scene, Mr. Kaplan even mentions “in my arms”.
- Baby Girl, We can infer by Mr. Kaplan’s reference [“only now she has a baby girl of her one”] to Agnes being a baby that Liz was not a little girl but a baby when Red put her in Mr. Kaplan’s arms.
The timeline
30 years
Mr. Kaplan: Wrong. You have me. Raymond thinks he out maneuvered me today, but he underestimated my commitment. I’ve been his cleaner, keeper, and confessor for 30 years, and I’m prepared to tell you everything you need to know in open court.
(2017 - 30 = 1987. Liz was born in 1985 though she looks under a year old in Requiem.)
Two decades
Mr. Kaplan: For the last two decades of my life, you had me convinced I was helping keep Elizabeth safe. But in reality, I was helping you become a monster.
(2017 - 20 = This is when she started working for Red.)
This wasn't a part of Mato but the messy situation Red talked to Kate about in Requiem is about the "mess" in the kitchen. Red knows about it because he's Katarina.
Also not a part of Mato but Requiem revealed Katarina was burned on her back.
“Ultimately this is a ‘chosen one’ story. Elizabeth Keen is clearly incredibly important to Red. Why? That’s what we’re slowly revealing over time, and trust me, the answers are all there. - Jon Bokenkamp interview with EW post episode 4.08;

Some predictions or things I’m hoping for in dreamzzz season 2
Major Spoilers below the cut
A backstory of how Masked Hero had Lunia’s Hourglass before he—bam! Turned into a night terror and vaporized by a streetlight. Plus an explanation of how he survived the fatality of using an Dream Keeper’s hourglass. PLUS bring him back bc personally I like him and he’s interesting & mysterious.
Possibly a new dreamzzz villain or just other new characters in general.
Revealing the Night Bureau’s superiors and leader(s) appearance.
The Insomniac Club being in the Dream Chasers’ butts 24/7 trying to find out the reasons of their nightmares. Hopefully they’ll quit once they realize they’re having good dreams. I hope.
Sneak somewhat being taken to the Night Bureau similar to what Z-Blob experienced.
Also, what happened to Susan and Snivel? I’m pretty sure they’re sulking around the Grim Realm or looking for Sneak. And definitely not with the Night Hunter because it looks like that they didn’t notice him skedaddling away the scene.
Mateo being cautious and looking over his shoulder, knowing the Night Hunter lives in Brooklyn and bonus point: trying to keep the secret and the fact he’s the former Dream chaser who betrayed Lunia from his friends and Mr Oz. Oz and Mateo may have a chat about the Night Hunter but who knows.
An explanation of how Lunia became the last Dream Keeper or risen up to power, becoming the most powerful Dream Keeper. But also on the concept of Dream Keepers, like do they obtain the title by high skill of dreamcrafting or by bloodline or by the potential of being one. However, I doubt the bloodline thing.
Backstory of how Mateo and Cooper became friends, then Logan came into the picture to be Cooper’s friend. I like to imagine where child Logan was lonely and wanted a friend because of his mothers’ absence and focusing on their careers and met Cooper as his first and best friend.
Pretty sure more lore about Lunia in season 2.
The Night Hunter hiding in the Dream World as well in the Waking World.
The witch in ep 14 may come back and sought out for revenge, and maybe and could be season 2’s villain.
Exploration on other new realms we never seen before than just the fantasy, cyber, candy, realms.
I may think the Nightmare King is going to bargain the Dream Chasers to be freed, not to rule the Dream World or Waking World but to hunt down the Night Hunter because he ran away cowardly.
And while the Nightmare King is hunting down the Night Hunter, fueled by angry revenge, the never witch is hunting them BOTH down for revenge.
And, and, finally get to insight of the never witch’s powers since it’s seen as misunderstood by nightmare king and night hunter.

here’s a tamer one:
gimme all your unpopular stranger things opinions, pretty please!!
sav, bestie you know i love being controversial (sometimes) and i know that some of these may get me tumblr-cancelled or cause a fandom riot because most of them will be about billy (and by extension, max), but that’s not my problem.
billy and max genuinely cared about each other. i know, some of you are gonna look at that and say “how the fuck is that true??” but trust me. it is. both of them were forced into a shitty situation, and often took things out on each other because they were both misguided and trying to navigate things on their own. neil and susan obviously favored max, often neglecting billy and making him grow up on his own and way too fast. he was handling full-fledged adult responsibilities by the time he was sixteen, and he shouldn’t have been. now while i think susan may have tried to evenly delegate her attention to both kids, neil completely prohibited that under some false pretense such as “billy needs to grow up” or “he doesn’t need a mother anymore”. any time max screwed up, billy was left to deal with it instead of neil and susan handling it themselves, like parents should, not older siblings (though i believe had it not been for neil, susan would’ve taken care of max herself— i have some very complicated opinions on susan, but that’s another story). every time billy acted out in violence, it was a defense and survival mechanism for him; and he probably did it quite often to protect max because he cared for her, and for the fact that if he didn’t, he’d face neil’s wrath for the nth time (i.e.: the fight at byers’ home with steve— which, in billy’s defense, was totally justified from his point of view). anyway, max and billy cared about each other in their own weird little way.
more on the topic of billy, he wasn’t racist and he didn’t target or dislike lucas simply because he was black. that’s just a bullshit reason that 98% of the fandom uses to justify why they hate billy because they couldn’t read context clues and use some critical thinking skills. he disliked lucas because he witnessed lucas and max arguing in the school parking lot, and lucas was upsetting max— and billy knew that it would be his ass if neil found out about it.
i think the whole “girlboss” angle they’re trying to do with nancy kinda sucks and it’s ruining her character. she was definitely a stronger character in season 2 than any other season.
the series started with will, and it should end with will. i said what i said.
max stabbing billy with a needle and syringe with no idea what was in it is not the girlboss moment y’all think it is. what was in that syringe could’ve killed him for all anyone knew.
the sauna scene was genuinely billy begging for max to help him because he didn’t know what was going on, until it wasn’t, and max knew that was billy and not the mindflayer.
speaking of the whole mindflayer thing, y’all can’t tell me that max didn’t genuinely care about billy when she said “i really hope it’s not you” in reference to the party suspecting that billy was the host.
oh and in season two when billy’s “threatening” to run over the boys?? y’all are delusional for thinking he really would lmao he’s an older brother and older brothers mess with their sisters like that. and he’s a seventeen year old with a cool, fast car. there’s no way he was gonna willingly get himself a vehicular homicide charge in a bumfuck town in indiana. y’all are dumb as shit for thinking he would. and did y’all notice when max grabbed the wheel and made the car swerve to avoid hitting them? billy could’ve easily gone against her force and kept the car on course, but he didn’t.
stancy shippers are essentially romanticizing a toxic relationship between two people who very clearly want different things for themselves and could never actually work, from a logical and realistic viewpoint.
on that note, stancy should not happen in season five. or ever again for that matter. fight me about it.
karen wheeler’s actions in season three can’t be justified. i’m not even gonna argue on this one with anyone because y’all know what happened. sure she chose her family in the end, but she was really about to go hook up with a freshly-18 year old man while being in her 40s…absolutely not, ma’am. don’t even get me started on the other pool-lurking moms.
it’s game night, send one of these!
